How did NSR come to be?

Jun 02, 2026

NSR was eight years in the making.

From 2015 to 2020, I lived with debilitating chronic illness. Those five years took me down a path I never could have imagined. Doctors tried to piece together what was happening to my body, but answers were few and far between.

There was a near-death experience.

There was medical malpractice that should have cost me my life.

At one point, I was taking 40 pills a day.

I lived with open wounds, relentless itching, and symptoms that seemed to multiply faster than solutions. I was prescribed steroids, beta blockers, powerful antibiotics, and countless other treatments. I traveled to another country searching for answers. I saw specialist after specialist.

Eventually, I became allergic to what felt like life itself. Foods, environments, and everyday exposures would trigger reactions without warning. At one point, I was put on a diet restricted of gluten, dairy, sugar, and inflammatory foods.

All of this happened before I turned 30.

By the time my 30th birthday arrived, I felt like I had already lived a lifetime. I was newly married when this began, living away from familiar support systems, and spending long stretches alone while my husband worked an hour away with no cell service. Looking back, it was the perfect storm.

Then came another low point. I remembered something a friend had mentioned years before: brain retraining.

Honestly, I didn't have much to lose anymore and it was time.

After being discharged from the hospital, I ordered a program consisting of DVDs and books.

Little did I know how much it would change my life.

Healing didn't happen overnight. It happened one small step at a time.

Within six months, the debilitating eczema that had covered my body began to fade. Not because I had found the perfect cream or medication, but because I was finally addressing something deeper.

Slowly, I began getting my life back.

I went from being nearly bedbound to skating, biking, driving, renovating my old house, and participating in life again.

For the first time in five years, I felt hope.

The healing journey was not linear. There were setbacks and difficult seasons along the way. But we kept going.

A few years later, opportunities to coach others using these same principles began to appear. One person became two. Two became ten.

Again and again, people were discovering that they were not nearly as broken or stuck as they had been led to believe.

As I continued my own healing journey, I continued to be passionate about studying the nervous system, neuroplasticity, and the role the brain plays in chronic symptoms. I read, researched, trained, coached, and learned everything I could.

Then in 2022, God began stirring something new in my heart.

The program available at the time was helping people, but I consistently saw gaps. Important pieces were missing. Clients needed more structure, and a clearer path forward with as many of those gaps filled as possible.

We needed something better.

So I got to work.

After six months of writing, filming, creating, revising, and building, NSR officially launched in June of 2023.

Looking back, I'm still not entirely sure how it all came together. There were countless long days, late nights, and prayers along the way.

Today, three years later, I stand amazed at what God has done.

NSR has reached people not only across North America, but around the world, including the United Kingdom, Brazil, Germany, and beyond.

Most importantly, it has given people hope and healing.

Hope that their bodies are capable of change AND that change happening.

Hope that they are not defined by a diagnosis AND that they are not as stuck as they believed.

I’ve also heard it said again and again how grateful people are to finally have tools to face life. They finally have options, instead of helplessly being pulled along with what life throws at them.

Could NSR Help You Too?

Maybe you're reading this and seeing pieces of your own story.

Maybe you've spent years searching for answers.

Maybe you've tried countless treatments, appointments, diets, supplements, medications, and programs, only to find yourself wondering why you're still stuck.

Maybe you've started to believe that this is simply your life now.

I understand that feeling.

What if there was another way to look at healing?

What if your body wasn't working against you, but was instead responding exactly as it was designed to under chronic stress, fear, and nervous system dysregulation?

What if the symptoms you've been battling are only part of the story?

At NSR, we teach a science-backed approach rooted in neuroplasticity, nervous system regulation, and practical tools that help you create lasting change. Our goal isn't to convince you that your symptoms aren't real. Quite the opposite. We understand they are very real.

What we want you to know is that change is possible.

Over the past three years, we have watched students reclaim parts of their lives they thought were gone forever. We've celebrated alongside people who have returned to activities they love, expanded their worlds, reduced symptoms, and discovered a level of hope they thought had disappeared.

No one can promise a specific outcome.

But what we can promise is that healing is often far more possible than we've been led to believe.

If you're tired of feeling stuck, if you're ready to learn a new way of understanding your body, and if you're willing to take that first small step, we'd love to walk alongside you.

Your story isn't over.

And your future may look very different than you imagine today.
