We build limiting beliefs and stories around experiences

Oct 18, 2023

Some examples might be:
-You may eat pizza one day and find you had a gut ache the next day, so you connect the gut ache to the pizza. From that day on, you believe that pizza aka gluten is bad for you, and you avoid it at all costs.
-You might have gone hiking one day, and got super tired, maybe even a headache after, you now connect hiking to not feeling well and create fear around this activity in the future.
-You are done at Walmart and feel overstimulated, you think, bright lights, strong smells and too many people and create an attachment to Walmart that Walmart is not a fun place from then on.

So now you’ve got all of these places, scenarios, and things that have had a negative impact on you in some way. Your brain has a job to protect you. It remembers these experiences and how you felt, physically and emotionally. In order to protect you it stays on high alert for these scenarios and triggers. We subconsciously overthink, overanalyze, plan, and avoid just so we can stay free of all these discomforts. It does not take much, and your idea of Pizza, walmart and hiking is marred to the point that with any suggestion of these you have evne a subconscious negative response to them.

If this sounds familiar to you, you might read on and consider that all of this could change for you. We have a negative bias in our brains that keeps us remembering the bad and looking beyond what good there could be.
-What if instead of focusing on the pizza and its effects it had on you, you remembered how loved you felt as you sat around the table with your friends?
-What if instead of thinking about how you felt the next day after hiking, you’d rewind and spend more time thinking about the gorgeous trees, birds singing, and the crisp smell of autumn?
-What if instead of thinking about the lights, smells, and people at Walmart, you remembered how great it was that you met your neighbor there. Or what it felt like to hold your little girl’s hand as you walked down the paper towel aisle?

At NSR we learn to rewire our brains out of these stuck patterns that keep us focused on the bad and are driven by avoidance and fear. We also learn tools to help us in future situations where we can feel safer and more empowered than we may have felt in the past.
So, let’s rewire our stories, lets open our hearts to new possibilities and freedoms. New perspectives and associations. Purchase NSR today to get a good start by the Christmas holidays with all its abundance.
